If her love life is going down in flames, she might as well spark a revolution. Finding out on your sixteenth birthday you’re a shape-shifting dragon is tough to swallow. Being hauled off to an elite boarding school is enough to choke on. Since Bryn is the only crossbreed at the Institute for Excellence, all eyes are on her, but it’s a particular black dragon, Zavien, who catches her attention. Zavien is tired of the Council’s rules. Segregated clans, being told who to love, and close-minded leaders make freedom of choice almost impossible. The new girl with the striped hair is a breath of fresh air, and with Bryn’s help, they may be able to change the rules. At the Institute, old grudges, new crushes, and death threats are all part of a normal day for Bryn. She’ll need to learn to control her dragon powers if she wants to make it through her first year at school. But even focusing on staying alive is difficult when you’re falling for someone you can't have.
I read this series for two reasons: this series greatly resembled The Dragonian Series by Adrienne Woods, and two, I know that Bryn would end up with Jaxon.
This probably the reason why I am so disappointed in this series.
Don't get me wrong, this series was a really, really great read. But when you came into something expecting one thing and didn't get it...you get disappointed.
To make things, worse, it seems like this series is just going to be a 5 book series, which means no more Jaxon and Bryn, and that pisses me even more off because we literally get 5 CHAPTERS of them together, and that's it.
I committed the entire series just so I can see them together, and because of that, I am thoroughly disappointed.
I really wish there would be more books. There better be more books.

Willa Knight: Dweller. Slave. Non-magical being. In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods. At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them... Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world—a position that she definitely did not earn. Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it. Either way, she is in trouble.
This series, on the other hand. Was not a disappointment at all. It was my first Reverse Harem book ever (I didn't know that when I started), but I enjoyed it so much *squeals*. I definitely needed this, at least one series wasn't a disappointment.
I'm going to be honest, the story-line for me is ranked second, with the relationships being first. The ships so shippable. If you want that, THIS SERIES IS FOR YOU. It's so good, Jaymin Eve really is a great author to look to when looking for guilty pleasure and easy reading that is super fun to read.
This series is totally swoon-worth, but I can see people bashing this book for being "sexist", because Willa really is kind of a "damsel in distress", and the number of times she trips is seriously ridiculous (but I'm not complaining, because I love how the Abcurses catches her ahaha). Her narrative is also extremely interesting, and her head as well as waht seh thinks is hilarious.
