We know the website is amazing, but how's the app? The Goodreads App Review

If you don't know, I got my first smartphone ever like, just last week. Okay, it's not exactly like that, because my parents put on restrictions on it (like no apps, no safari, etc). But my dad allowed me to download two apps: Dictionary and Goodreads.

I really love Goodreads. It's basically Facebook for book lovers. In fact, that's what I love most about it. It's where people go to find their next favorite books, meet their new book besties, and more. This however, also brings me to my only problems with Goodreads and its app.

I feel like Goodreads is most mainly used to discover books, but it can extend its reach so much more if they socialize the app more. I would love it if Goodreads app would add a chat feature so people can chat about books more easily, instead of using the quite inconvenient messages. Another thing I would really like Goodreads to add on the app would be the list archives and the 'discover' book feature. Like I said before, Goodreads is all about discovering books. It'll help the website and app to be far more convenient if they would be like Amazon and personalize the search page with books that the person might like (and allowing them to search up lists for book recommendations, like they can do in browsers).

Goodreads has features that I feel like should add (chat), but they also struggle to improve personalization and making their app as good as their website because they fail to be able to recommend books based on searches (like Amazon), and doesn't allow searches of lists like you can do in browsers when looking for book recommendations. The Goodreads app is something that is useful when you wish to connect with your fellow bookworms, but I feel like if they make the changes in features like I just said, not only would the app be perfected, it can definitely boost the app's popularity, especially to its already online browser users.
