Meet Tomas Laurinavicius; Tomas Laurinavicius is a lifestyle entrepreneur and blogger from Lithuania. He writes about habits, lifestyle design, and entrepreneurship. Right now, he's traveling the world with a mission to empower 1 million people to change their lifestyle for good.
You are obviously a very capable person, especially in terms of entrepreneurship and basic technological design. Why did you decide to be a blogger, out of all the jobs you could've gotten?
Storytelling has transformed the human species and it keeps evolving. I’m extremely grateful for the people who explored, learned, experimented and documented everything so others could learn. I’m fascinated by stories and its potential to transform lives. Other than that, I like to write, it makes me think clearer and gives an insight into my mind.
Speaking of which, blogger is your job, right? What is your career job exactly? (Because seriously it looks like you are doing like 50 jobs at once, according to what you said on your blog about page)
I introduce myself as the lifestyle entrepreneur and blogger because it’s easy for people to understand. In the last decade, I’ve been in a constant transition from being a self-taught designer, blogger, marketer, author, instructor into traveler and entrepreneur. Right now, I’m a content marketing consultant and a freelance blogger.
So currently you're traveling the world. As a person who is living a digital nomad
lifestyle, how do you financially support it?
When I started out, I have been designing websites and user interfaces on a freelance basis. I founded and ran Despreneur, a magazine for design entrepreneurs that was making money from affiliate sales, digital products and advertising. Right now, most of my income comes from writing and consulting.
I noticed you like reading too. As a book blogger, I feel obligated to ask this: What is your favorite genre and author?
Not so long ago I rediscovered books and have been obsessed with reading more. My favorite genre is self-help based on storytelling backed with scientific research. My favorite author is Tim Ferriss.
I also noticed you already co-published a book called Mobile Design. Do you have any more upcoming books, or are you working on any upcoming books?
I am working on a book about the habits of success. I will focus on the lifestyle design and how to engineer your dream life by consciously adopting habits and improving self-awareness.
You are obviously living a very enriched life right now. My eyes literally bulged out of my eyes when I saw how specific your lifestyle reports can be. What do you do during your free time (besides from being so perfect)?
Haha, I spend most of my time collecting data for these reports. When I am not learning, reading or working, I like to disconnect and explore, meet new people, attend events and widen my horizon.
This has nothing to do with the interview, but I'll really like to ask a professional (hope you don't mind). I'm ENFJ, can you analyze that a little bit for me 😂
Don’t understand. Analyze what? :)
