SYNOPSIS (FROM GOODREADS):
What turns me on? YOU.
Caleb Crane is a ripped and protective vampire who knows exactly what he wants. And what he wants is the sexy young lawyer, Abby March, who just showed up in Hollywood.
And then something shocking emerges from Abby's past that changes everything. A secret so dark, she can't hide from it or run away any longer. Will Caleb stay and fight for Abby, or will her shocking secret ruin everything?
Compulsively readable, Viper is a passionate, enthralling vampire romance and a must-read for paranormal fiction fans.
This is Book One in the Vampires of Hollywood series, and it’s also a great standalone alpha male romance with a HEA, No Cheating, and No Cliffhanger. This story is steamy, spicy, sexy, and hot. You’ve been warned…
MY THOUGHTS:
I received a free copy for an honest review
This book as some really smokey scenes. Just so you know.
Let me start off to say this book is kind of like Twilight. Even though the main characters are not high school students and you don't have a villain group like the Volturi, you've got a hot vampire who just wouldn't turn his girlfriend into a vampire because he doesn't want her to have 'that life', werewolves, and the ending when Abby almost got turned into vampire, except in this book she actually became a vampire, so that's a twist. If anyone complained about the ending in Twilight, at least now you can be satisfied that someone got turned into a vampire.
This book was definitely a fun and enjoyable read. Abby met the Vampire-Director Caleb after she trespassed into his house chasing her best friend Natalie's cat - and bumped into straight into him naked.
And it basically started off there. Caleb hired her as his lawyer the next day and hit on her about every other second. There are some/mild twists in the book the 'spice up' the plot and relationships. This is a book with an HFN (happy for now) ending, so it's satisfactory. Just in case if anyone out there is not a fan of cliffhangers.
Overall, this book is a sexy make you want to have a relationship romantic read, and I definitely would suggest it to readers who want a simple plot with vampire romance that is similar to Twilight.
