SYNOPSIS (FROM GOODREADS):
When your enemy dies under strange circumstances? Don’t stop looking over your shoulder.
When secrets of a past scandal are plopped into your lap? Solve a mystery.
And when you’re a member of the National ski team? Don’t get distracted.
Roxie’s senior year at Stark Springs Academy is not what she envisioned. She never intended to be privy to Stark’s biggest secrets, but she’s thrown right into the middle of it, whether she wants to carry that burden or not. As Ryker Black’s girlfriend, nothing is simple or straightforward. A ski racer first and foremost, Roxie can’t let the ghosts of Stark Springs Academy distract her from the race course. Will she be able to pull it off?
MY THOUGHTS:
I received a free copy for an honest review
This book was better than the last. It redeemed itself in my eyes in this series' grand finale. And (this is just a joke, for fun) all those mysteries and drama, I think it can qualify as a mystery book as well.
The romance wasn't as dull as the last book, and it transformed back into the book I know it can be. Politics, drama, mystery deaths, even though the problems are still overwhelming, at least it's more organized now. And come on, who doesn't love a good happy ending?
And the characters finally changed! I love how Roxie became more confident and secure throughout the story, as she developed herself in a brand new world alongside Ryker. Also how all the mysteries and pieces of puzzles came together, in the end, was very well-written and satisfying at the same time from how well everything worked out.
And the last special part with Pepper and Pace was very pleasant, like a cherry on top of a cake.
This book redeemed the entire series in my eyes with this amazing happily ever after, and I have to give it into how this is an amazing book!
